It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ross Alexander Phillips of Ottawa on November 24, 2024 at the age of 77. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years Linda née Stevenson, his children Christopher (Crystal), Ryan, Ian (Lindsay) and his cherished granddaughters Piper, Avery and River. Ross will be deeply missed by his brother Bruce (Annette, niece Nathalie) sister Margo (Greg Hodgson), extended family and friends.
Ross was a dedicated Civil Servant with Revenue Canada for 25 years. He built a reputation as a hardworking individual who always put the needs of his family and others before his own.
The family would like to thank the staff at the CCU at the General Hospital and the staff at the May Court Hospice for their compassionate care.
A private family service was held on November 26th with internment at Beechwood Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the May Court Hospice or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute in his memory.

Cheryl and I offer our condolences to Linda, Chris, Ryan, Ian and their families. We were saddened to hear the news that Ross passed away. I’m so glad I was given the opportunity to have a short visit with Ross a few days before he passed away. In the late 70’s when I transferred to the Ottawa District Office, Ross was one of the first guys I met and worked with. We continued our friendship to this day. In the last few years the telephone was our connection. Some calls were reasonably short and others, well; a little longer. Rest well old buddy and I hope to see you on the other side. I’ll hold our memories close.
