Danno, you are an amazing man! We met in Cuba 18 years ago and appreciated that we continued to stay in touch no matter where each of us were. You are an amazing friend who was thoughtful, caring and generous. There are no words that can describe the shock that came when I heard the news.

I enjoyed our conversations about cars, travel, real estate, culture, work and the future. There was never a shortage of topics to discuss. You were funny, witty and a tad silly. You have left a hole in my heart and will never be forgotten.

Sending sincerest sympathies to all Dan's family, friends and colleagues. He made a lasting impression on alot of people. RIP my friend. xo

Condolences to the family. I went to elementary and junior high school with Daniel Kim. Many years, and diverging lives and careers between us, but I still remember him to be a kind, gentle, good friend when were were in school together. May he rest in peace.

Dan was a friend and colleague when we served together in the LER. He was perpetually of good cheer, and rapidly established a reputation as someone you could count on. He could easily transition from analytical thought and laser focus, to easy going good humour as the situation required. This trait made him a remarkable leader and a valuable comrade. We had a lot of good times together. He is deeply missed.

My dear brother-in-law Danny!
You were a man of action and not a man of many words. Even not spoken out loudly our relationship was dominated by respect, care, love, humour, critism. Thank you for that and much more. Your great love for your nephews and nices will stay alive - we will tell and show them what great man you were. And be sure that we will care about your family. Rest in peace. You will live forever in our hearts.

My deepest condolences to you and yours during this tragic time. I sailed with Dan during his deployment on Calgary in 2008 and then served under him again in 2017. He was a dedicated man that always did his very best for his Country, his Ship and his Team. I will miss him very much. So sorry for your loss.
