Passed away surrounded by family in Ottawa on Saturday, February 17, 2024; age 92 years. Born December 22,1931 to Daniel and Margaret Clark in Assiniboine, Saskatchewan. Survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Sandra Clark (nee Muir), son Allan (Sharon), daughters Leslie (Tom), Melissa (Cliston) and Leah (John) and by grandchildren Ryan, Shannon, Paul, Elisabeth, Patrick, Evan and Sarah. And by great- grandchildren Avery, Noah, Austin and Zoey, and by his niece Anne.

Allan grew up in Ottawa joining the Airforce at 18. He was one of the founding members of the Civil Aviation Accident Investigation Board of the Department of Transportation. Allan’s legacy was making air travel safer for all of us. He was an avid boater and spent years enjoying the waters around Vancouver Island with Sandra before returning to Ottawa to spend more time with family. Over the past 25 years, Allan enjoyed time with family and friends both hiking and on the golf course. He will be missed by many. Thanks to all of the staff on B2 Surgery at The Ottawa Civic Hospital for their amazing care and family support.

Family and friends are invited to Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Monday, February 26, 2024, for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m., Interment to follow in the National Military Cemetery located at Beechwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation or TEMBO are greatly appreciated.

To Sandra and the entire Clark clan, our deepest sympathy and condolences. "Uncle Allan" who never liked the moniker, will be missed by all. His infectious smile and laugh will be remembered by all. HIs passion for flying and his amazing story telling of his RCAF experiences was one of the reasons for our 39 years of memorable service in the Canadian Forces. Thank you for the great memories, rest in peace

Condolences Melissa & family. Always enjoyed chats with your Dad and discussions would inevitably come around to golf! What a terrific husband & father. Thinking of you all!
