Passed away surrounded by family in Ottawa on Saturday, February 17, 2024; age 92 years. Born December 22,1931 to Daniel and Margaret Clark in Assiniboine, Saskatchewan. Survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Sandra Clark (nee Muir), son Allan (Sharon), daughters Leslie (Tom), Melissa (Cliston) and Leah (John) and by grandchildren Ryan, Shannon, Paul, Elisabeth, Patrick, Evan and Sarah. And by great- grandchildren Avery, Noah, Austin and Zoey, and by his niece Anne.

Allan grew up in Ottawa joining the Airforce at 18. He was one of the founding members of the Civil Aviation Accident Investigation Board of the Department of Transportation. Allan’s legacy was making air travel safer for all of us. He was an avid boater and spent years enjoying the waters around Vancouver Island with Sandra before returning to Ottawa to spend more time with family. Over the past 25 years, Allan enjoyed time with family and friends both hiking and on the golf course. He will be missed by many. Thanks to all of the staff on B2 Surgery at The Ottawa Civic Hospital for their amazing care and family support.

Family and friends are invited to Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Monday, February 26, 2024, for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m., Interment to follow in the National Military Cemetery located at Beechwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation or TEMBO are greatly appreciated.

My deepest sympathy to the Clark family. Uncle Allan will always hold a special place in my heart. Many fond memories from my childhood revolve around the Clark family. I still can remember his laugh and how he liked to have fun on land and water. Forever in my heart Uncle Allan!

“Aunt” Sandra, Leslie and family, our threads of life run long beginning with the dear childhood friendship my parents (deceased) Mavis and Bill shared with Sandra, Allan and all their gang of couples. Through this their children’s friendship blossomed. I recall with fondness all the fun the gang had through the years. I know there was a Glad Shout of welcome as they greeted Allan in Heaven. I pray for comfort for you all mourning his great loss. May God be your refuge and strength ahead.
Hugs and love,
Pam Curzon (daughter of Mavis and Bill Bennett)
