Very sad to hear this news. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and beloved little Bandit. Rex will always have a special place in my memories.

Our sincerest condolences to the Rowsell family on the passing of their patriarch. Rex was a friend and colleague for over 50 years, I don't think there was a ever a comms problem we couldn't figure out between the two of us and if we couldn't, we had a good time trying, in the end, him often shaking his head at me for missing something sooo simple. I'll miss our chats old friend, that one last coffee we never had. Rest well with your girl, I'm sure Joanne was there to meet you with open arms. God bless you and your family as they celebrate your life.

Rob, Kim and families, so sorry to hear of your father's passing. My husband and I lived at 25 Longden Place for many years. Your parents were good neighbors. With Heartfelt Sympathy. Margaret

Rex was my neighbour and we had many chats over the last couple of years. I felt very privileged that he shared some of his absolutely stunning nature photography with me. I will not see the herons on the pond again without thinking of him. We also shared some good natured ribbing about who was cuter - his great grandson, or my grandson, born within just a week of each other. What struck me the most about Rex though, was his genuine kindness. My condolences to all his family; I’m sure he will be very much missed. When I go to Beechwood this summer to visit my own beloved Old Soldier, I will pay my respects to Rex and his beloved bride Joanne.
