It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Stanley Hubbard on February 12th, 2026, loving partner and best friend to Angela Stever of 41 years.
Bob was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia on October 16th, 1937, to Douglas and Alma Hubbard. He is survived by his sister Eileen and is predeceased by his siblings Dorothy, Douglas, and Donald. Bob was the loving father of Janice (Ray), Robert and his late daughter Wendy. He was a devoted stepfather to Shane and the late Duane. Bob will be dearly missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob proudly served his country for 33 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, enlisting at the age of 18 on February 14th,1955 and retiring in 1988. His distinguished military career took him to postings in Nova Scotia, Brussels, Vietnam, Egypt and New York, before his final posting to Ottawa. Bob also served with distinction as President of the Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess.
Bob was a genuinely kind man with a ready smile and a zest for life, his family, friends and the next adventure. Always ready to lend a hand or tell a tale he was very much a people person. A dedicated volunteer, Bob gave 27 years of service to the Ottawa Heart Institute. He was very active with the Nepean Nomads Walking Club, the Montgomery Legion Golf club and other community organizations. Bob always said that the 20 winters he and Angela spent in Bucerias, Mexico, were paradise.
Family and friends are invited to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, ON), for a Memorial Service on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, at 1 p.m., followed by a Reception. An Interment will take place in the spring with military honours in the National Military Cemetery, located at Beechwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.

Sympathies to Dear Angelea and Family Members
Both my Dear Don and I received much of DEAR Bob' s goodness while Members of the Nepean Walking Club.
Our deepest sympathies to Angela and family. Bob was always a pleasure to be around as part of the Nepean Nomads. May his memories be a blessing.
