On September 5th, 2022, Terry Mavis, passed away peacefully at the Civic Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario at the age of 67.
Terry is predeceased by his parents Cliff Mavis and Jeannine (Quesnel), as well as his sister Joanne. He is survived by his son Scott, as well as his brothers and sisters, Chris (Normand), Debbie (Eric), Cliff (Joanne) and Steven.
Terry is fondly remembered by many generations of his nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Over the years, Terry had many pets whom he loved very much. His parrot Chloe brought him great love and comfort especially during the many years that he struggled with chronic pain. They had an unbreakable bond and she is already missing him.
Terry had a passion for sports and would often organize family and friend bowling or baseball to get us all together.
Special thank you to the staff at the Ottawa Hospital for their compassionate care.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Friday, September 16 from 3 p.m. at KS on the Keys Restaurant, 1029 Daze Street, Ottawa, ON, K1V 2G3 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, in memory, donations can be made to Little Ray's Nature Centre (www.littlerays.org).

Completed are the tears of agony and pain
You have earned your place in vain
Up above the invisible hands
Have whisked you to a beautiful land
A paradise full of beauty and love
Family reunited and pets reunited with you up above
A shining star you have become
With wings of softness caressing you and what you have become
Time to live again with your dancing circle of love
And one day we shall meet you up above

“Those We Love“
Those we love don't go away;
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard but always near.
Sill loved, still missed, and very dear.
Wishing us hope in the midst of sorrow,
Offering comfort in the midst of pain, both today and tomorrow.
