Stella Cloutier (Beaulieu), beloved mother, grandmother, great grand mother and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 11, 2025 at the age of 91. She was born in L’Isle Verte, Quebec on May 22, 1934.
Stella was known for her love of life and passion for her family. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and great conversation. Stella was always willing to share a heated discussion over the political and social issues of the day with a glass of red wine. She was an amazing cook, seamstress, avid knitter, and will mostly be remembered for her laugh and wonderful smile.
Stella is survived by her loving children, Renée (John), Marie-Josée (Gilles), Pierre (Cliff), her grand children Kyle (Josette), Jessica (Christian), Meaghen (Matthew) and great grand children Xavier, Liam, Nève, Emric and Ferguson and her cherished sister Thérèse and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, René Cloutier, parents; Blanche Coté, and Théophile Beaulieu and siblings, Alice, Benoît, Jacques, Jean, Alexandre, Guy, Rita, Pierrette, and André.
There are many people who were a very special part of Stella's extended family; Elizabeth, Richard, Louise, Denise and Jacinthe, with whom Stella left a lasting impression.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, ON K1L 8A6 on June 26, 2025 from 1pm – 2pm, followed by a reception 2pm – 4pm. A family burial will take place at 4pm.
A special thank you to the wonderful Ottawa Paramedics and staff of The Ottawa General Hospital.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Lung Association of Canada, Union Mission of Ottawa or the Alzheimer Association of Canada.
Stella will be missed by many. Her memory will live on with those she loved and cherished.
