Mel was my Dad's best friend back in the 70s and 80s. He was such a wonderful man, and so fun to have around. He was also very tolerant and understanding - he had to be to put up with Dad's antics. For a while they lived in a log cabin with no electricity, on a farm in Carelton Place. They looked after 150 cattle in lieu of rent. So sorry for your loss Marjorie, you gave Mel the happiest days of his life.
