spouses Mariette and Françoise. She is pre-deceased by her parents Cécile and
Joseph St-Onge, and siblings; Yolande, Jean-Paul (Georgette), Gabriel, Fernand,
Marcel (Raymonde) and Claude.
Lucie also leaves behind a large extended family; this includes the St-Onge, Hannah,
Lalonde, Duffy, Fauchon families and many friends.
Lucie was exceptionally creative and artistic – at once a talented pianist, clothing
designer and artist. She played beautiful piano pieces, designed wedding dresses and clothing of all kinds, and she won awards for her artwork. Later in life, she enjoyed spending her winters in Florida with friends, where she became an avid competitive bridge player.
Above all, Lucie loved life, laughing and hosting or attending gatherings of her large and growing family. She will forever be remembered for her grace, elegance, kind heart and how she always made everyone feel special.
We will be forever grateful to the staff at Bruyère Health Saint Vincent Hospital and at The Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus.
A celebration of Lucie`s life will be shared on January 11, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the
Beechwood Cemetery Sacred Space, 280 Beechwood Ave, Vanier (Ottawa), ON. A
reception will follow at 1 pm. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring Lucie’s
memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer
Society or the Bruyère Health Foundation.
