It is with deepest sympathies that we announce the passing of Mr. Luc Polnicky who passed away on September 12th 2024, at the age of 64.

He was the beloved partner of Nora Villamil and the son of the late Pierrette and Thadée Polnicky. He will be missed by his brothers Marc and Gilles (Tammy), his sister Lynda (Jacques), his nephews and niece Mitchell (Cassandra), Brent (Melissa), Marie-Pier (Eric) and Dominic (Melanie) and his great nephews and nieces Theodore, Harrison, Felix, Coralie and Lexie. He also leaves behind his partner’s children Alejandra (Glynn), Cesar (Shanna) and Andres as well as the grandchildren Kazim, Tiana, Carlos and Alicia.

To respect Luc’s wishes, there will be no funeral.

Luc was a good, affectionate and wonderful man. His life is a testimony of a firm will of doing good, of unshakeable convictions of his existence, that of family, marital and fraternal love, as well as the path of sincere and deep friendships. Full of good will and enthusiasm, Luc took pride in helping others through his action and his perseverance served him well. Luc wanted to live, and he lived his life well; he proudly forged a remarkable life despite the obstacles that marked his path. His departure creates a painful void for all those that had the privilege of having known him, but Luc is now resting in peace and can now join his loved ones that have preceded him. You will be missed Luc.

Forever in our hearts.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Wesley Edwards and his team for the excellent compassionate and respectful care.

For those who wish to do so, please consider making a donation to the Hearst Notre-Dame Hospital Foundation (https://www.foundation.ndh.on.ca)

I’m sorry for the Polnicky family’s loss. I knew Luc from Lyndhurst and Carleton, so we’ve travelled some hard miles, some happy miles together.
RIP mon ami.
