Passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 14, 2022, at the age of 62. Daughter of the late Stephen Cowell and the late Helen Braid. Beloved wife of Terry Gray. Loving mother of Sara Gray (Joe Crupi). Dear sister of Stephen Scott Cowell (Laura Ortiz) and Fiona Cowell (Steve Joy). She will be remembered by her nephew Shane Cowell, her nieces Kirsten Zadow and Meghan Joy as well as her lifelong friends Robert and Shirley Leitch.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday May 24, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Space of Beechwood Cemetery 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. The family will receive condolences at 10:00 a.m. in the Sacred Space.

Laura was a wonderful, kind, and undemanding friend to me. I always enjoyed her sense of humour, and we shared many of the same interests. Our contact with each other changed when I left Ottawa, but we kept in touch on occasion. I will miss her very much.
