We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our son, Kevin at the age of 51.  After a two-week battle with cancer, he died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024.

Beloved son of Huguette and Paul Blissett. Kevin will be forever remembered by his uncles and aunts, Carol (Georgette), Nicole (late Jean-Marc), Yves (Sandy), Danielle (Marc), late Keith (Denise), and cousins late Nadia, Shawn, Michèlle, Christine (Alex), Véronika, Mélanie, Brittney, Nicholas, Shannon, Bob (Shannon), late Louis, Mélisa, Julien (Erin) and by many dear friends. Kevin was a kind, compassionate and respected person and had many treasured friends.

Kevin had an opinion about almost everything and was an expert in music, politics and sports. He was passionate about sports, particularly the Senators, the Redblacks, the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved a variety of music and was knowledgeable in all genres. One of the characteristics I admired most; Kevin called his mom and dad every day to ensure everything was ok. The world lost a beautiful, giving and caring person. We love you forever with wonderful memories.

Family and friends are invited to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at 10 a.m. followed by a Reception. For those who wish to make a donation in Kevin’s memory please do so towards The Ottawa Mission or to the Ottawa Food Bank.

I had the pleasure of knowing Kevin as he shopped at the record store I worked at here in Ottawa. We loved a lot of the same music and I'm sorry I never had a chance to meet up with him outside the store. He was a super pleasant fellow and I'll miss him. Sincere condolences go out to his loving family at this sad time.

Huguette & Paul, I am so sorry on the loss of your son Kevin. I remember Kevin as a young lad as he used to hang around with my son Remi & my daughter Manon but as kids grow up I lost sight of Kevin until I was fortunate to meet back up with him & work together for about 12 years. We spent some good times together playing golf & watching sports. I went on to other venues but we always kept in touch. I am really saddened by the lost of a good friend. RIP Kevin.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your son Kevin. I did not know him well, but from reading the comments he was a very special person. May you both find some moments of peace and have memories of joy in the days ahead.
