On Saturday, July 29, 2023, Judy Olive (nee Pollex) passed away at the age of 75. She was the daughter of the late Elwood and Mae Pollex (nee Brisbois) and beloved wife of Harold Olive. She will remain lovingly in the memories of her children Doug Olive (Nicky), Jim Olive and Jennifer Deriger (Eric); her grandchildren Jacob, Isabelle and Jack; her brothers Bruce and Eric Pollex, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers of the Montfort Hospital, Bruyère Hospital – St. Vincent’s facility and Bayshore Home Health. The individuals from each of these organizations who provided care did so with the utmost attention and compassion to ensure Judy was comfortable during her last weeks and days.

Family and friends are invited for visitation at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa on Wednesday, August 16th at 12noon until time of a Memorial Service at 1:00PM. Interment and reception to follow.

In memory of Judy, donations to the Montfort Hospital or Bruyère would be greatly appreciated.

Judy and I met 52 years ago, and our friendship flourished immediately. We became sisters, both of us being sisters from another ‘Mother’ as the saying goes. Our two families, the Olives and the Drew’s, shared many wonderful times and these memories will remain with me always. Along with sunshine there was rain but we got through the hard times leaning on and always being there for each other. She was a beautiful woman, kind, loving, always there for those she loved. I’m thankful we had all those years of sisterhood and special friendship. Rest easy my dear Judy. I love you and will miss you always. Condolences and love to Harold, Doug and Nikki, Jim, Jen and Eric, her darling grandchildren, and brothers Bruce and Eric. Judy, you will be forever missed, Love, Sherry xox

Harold, I am so very sorry for your loss and that I was not aware that Judy was even sick let alone that she had passed away. My heart goes out to you and the kids. Judy loved you guys so much and always had such great things to say about her "hubby" and kids. My sincere condolences...Cathy
