It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Isabelle Heafey Wilkie on June 5, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Madeleine Forget and the late Russell Heafey. She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Wilkie (55 years). Her sisters: Claire, Jocelyne (late Jean-Guy Legault), Monique, Lorraine (René Loyer) and her brothers Michel and Gilbert. She will be dearly missed by her goddaughter Annie, her husband Ion and her children Nicola and Ana, who were like grandchildren to her. As well as numerous nieces and nephews, great-grandnieces and nephews, and many friends who were so important to her.

A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Beechwood Cemetery (280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa ON K1L 8A6). A visitation will take place at 1 p.m., followed by the Celebration at 2 p.m.

Donations in Isabelle's memory to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the organization of your choice would be appreciated.

We were saddened to hear of Isabelle's passing. I worked with Isabelle, Mme Wilkie, at Orleans Wood Elementary School for many years. She was known by her students, colleagues and parents in the community as a knowledgeable, fair educator who had a lovely sense of humour. Isabelle will be missed by many. Our sincere condolences to Ken and family... ♥️

My sincere sympathies Ken as well as Isabelle's family.

My deepest condolences to her husband, Ken and her family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Isabelle through line dancing at MIFO. During our initial conversation we realized that we both spent our winters in Florida and that we did our shopping in Lakeland. Isabelle is a genuine and classy person. Sincere condolences to Ken, family and all her friends. Isabelle will be remembered. Godspeed xx
