Passed away peacefully at Bearbrook Retirement Residence on Friday, January 10, 2025, in her 100th year. Predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Irvine C. Scarlett. Proud mother of Elizabeth (Alf Warnock) and John (Christine). Cherished grandmother of Matthew and Andrew Scarlett. She will also be remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Bearbook, and to all those who had contact with Mom. Your hard work and excellent care kept her happy and comfortable; your smiles, songs, and hugs brightened her days.  She was proud to have you as friends.

Friends and guests are invited to a Memorial Service at Beechwood Funeral Home, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, ON, on Tuesday January 21st at 1pm.

I often think of the four day party we had when Elizabeth, Jim, Ken and I visited Ottawa. Betty was so kind to us and helped to make our holiday special.

My sincerest condolences to her family.
I met Betty over 20 years ago on Crosby lake. She was a special lady, determined and always enjoyed conversations. She loved her dogs and time at the lake. Sadly she left this spot in heaven some years ago as her health declined. I will never forget our times spent together. Love you Betty xoxo
