In loving memory of George Hector Annand, born December 24th, 1932, to the late George and Mary Annand (Smith).

George passed away peacefully at his last residence.

Predeceased, by his wife, Eileen Labelle and his brother, constable John Annand, R.C.M.P 1963.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie Annand O'Connell and grandchildren Robynne, Rachael, Jeffey, Joshua, and Cameron.

George entered the work force at the tender age of 16, following in the footprints of his dad, sailing the Great Lakes, on the ship Keynor.

His sailing career was short lived, he wanted to become a Police officer, joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

George wore the uniform with pride.

During retirement years, he travelled the world, played golf and curled...also enjoyed an "adult beverage" with his buddies at the Royal Canadian Legion.

Greatly missed by his companion, Betty Owen, who brought great joy to his life.

Donations can be made to your charity of choice.

A life well lived you will be missed.

Sorry we didn't get to know George but I represent "A" troop of 1956 of which George's brother, John, was a part. We are aware of the contribution the entire family Annand made to policing in CANADA. Lots of happy memories from our time in training and when John and I were stationed together in Fort Smith.
Condolences to the family.
