Frances Dodsworth passed away on November 12th, 2024. She was predeceased by her best friend and husband of 68 years, Foster Dodsworth as well as her dear son Brian (Chris). Mother of Barry (Joanne) and grandmother to precious grandson Brandon (Katherine). She will be dearly missed by her great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Ava and Colton.
Frances was daughter of Hattie and Murdock Spence, Nova Scotia, survived by nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, November 30th from 1-3pm at Beechwood Cemetery (280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa. ON). Words of remembrance to begin at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
In the short time that I have known Granny I quickly learned that she was a very funny, fierce and independent woman. She was one of the strongest women that I have ever met. One of the qualities I enjoyed about her was her honesty. If there was something she didn’t like there was no issue voicing her opinion, she did it in such a witty way that it was cute and funny at the same time. We will miss her immensely and wish her peace on her new journey.
