Passed away peacefully in Ottawa on December 9th, Beloved wife of Robert Sawaya. Loving mother of Dalia and Ivan. Much loved daughter of Nehmatallah Fares and Zakia Berchan. Caring sister of Anwar Fares (Maya Bakhos) and Nesrine Fares. She will be dearly missed by her in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Beechwood Funeral and Cemetery Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Thursday December 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Sts. Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River Road.
In lieu of flowers and for those wishing, in memoriam donations to Sts. Peter and Paul Church would be appreciated.

I have just learned about Dr Fares passing.I am so shocked and saddened. I never knew her family but felt her deep love of them when we talked about themevery visit.I had been diagnosed with a frightening eye disease and when I found her ,after a frustrating search years ago i knewIwas in the care of a competent andknowlegable doctor/ friend who really cared and I trusted to follow me through my journey .Mysincerecondolences to her family during this difficult time.
We are in shock, Dr. Fares was a great doctor as well as a wonderful person. She always had a smile and was always asking how you are doing. May she Rest In Peace. She will be missed.
