I met Debbie while I was volunteering at the Perley. Debbie was also volunteering there. I immediately wanted to get know her better as she was such a caring and friendly person. She was also very nice to my sister who was in convalescing there after surgeries. She went out of her way to make and bring glass picture frames of my husbands and my sister’s obituary after they passed away. She gave beautiful and thoughtful cards. When we both stopped volunteering during Covid we talked many times on the phone. Debbie always had time to talk to me when I was lonely even if she wasn’t feeling well. I really miss our talks and I felt so bad for her as she had so many health problems but she bravely carried on without complaining . I know she is a better place and her suffering is over. Rest in piece my dear. Your friend Sandy

I knew Debbie since approx 1976 when we were both employed at CPIC (RCMP). I always found Debbie to be a truly, faithful, loving friend. We shared some good times together but she has left much too soon. RIP Love Amy

We knew each other for about 50 years and although we never spent a great deal of time together conversing when we did it was enjoyable. Please believe me when I say that you will be truly missed by Stewart and your son Nathan and those that have come in contact with you. REST IN PEACE DEBBIE

Deborah will be fondly remembered by the Perley Health community as a faithful "Dairy Queen" serving, with that big smile, in our weekly Ice Cream Parlour for more than 10 years. She supported in many other areas, as well, and was recognized with a Volunteer Advocacy Award in 2014 for speaking up on behalf of residents in long-term care. She is missed by staff and fellow volunteers.
