It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Daniel Berthiaume of Ottawa on Saturday December 9th, 2023 at the age of 75.
He leaves behind his daughters Julie, Nathalie and Renée as well as his sisters Annette, Katherine and Lise, as well as many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the amazing team on the palliative care unit at St Vincent's Hospital for the exceptional compassion and caring shown to him during his brief stay. Also thank you to Dr. Rebecca Gibson from South Ottawa medical centre, who took such compassionate and exceptional care of our father and guided us through such a difficult and emotional year.
A private family gathering will be held at Beechwood Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, you may wish to express your sympathy through a donation to Bruyere Continuing Care at St Vincent's hospital, or the Canadian Cancer society.

Today, June 29, 2025,I found out Daniel passed 18 months ago.. I had been thinking about him the past few days and thought to google him to see where and what he might be up to. This saddens me to know he is no longer present in his family and friends lives. I worked for Dan (Berthiaume Building Services) from about 1999 (on Pretoria) until we, Dan, Tim and I moved to work for DFB. 25 years of working for this wonderful man. My heart hurts. I did know that Dan's wife, Annette, had pre-deceased him a few earlier. Hugs go out to his girls and his sisters. Dan will forever be remembered and appreciated, especially by me. Continue to rest peacely my ol friend.
My deepest sympathies. Dan was a great dad and loved his girls very much. I hope happy memories help you through this difficult time. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
