Charles Mwewa, 49, a beloved husband, father, brother, and son, sadly passed away on May 6, 2025, to be with the Lord, after a life richly lived with love, kindness, compassion, and boldness. Charles was known for tirelessly and confidently representing his clients in law. He was never at a loss for words and, as a result, wrote more than 150 books. He was adventurous and daring, always seeking unique activities during vacation. He was a very proud father, Christian, intercessor, poet, novelist, and practitioner of the Law. He loved God unconditionally, but also loved his wife and children, and took pride in that. Through his ample knowledge and wisdom, he touched and changed the lives of many locally and internationally by mentoring and educating people in Law, Christianity, prayer, and every genre of life. He was a rare kind and will forever be missed! But we rejoice knowing that heaven has truly gained !

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario. A Funeral Service will follow Friday, May 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., followed by the burial and reception, also at Beechwood.

Tribute to Mr. Charles

It’s hard to find the words to express the deep sorrow I feel over the loss of Mr. Charles. He was not just a colleague he was a brilliant brother, a trusted friend, and a true light to those who knew him. I will miss the special way he called me Madam Princess, the warmth of his incredible voice, and that unforgettable, radiant smile that lit up every room he walked into.

Mr Charles was a man of vision proud of his African heritage and deeply committed to the cause of making Africa great again. His passion for good governance and his tireless advocacy for a better future for Africa were truly inspiring. He never hesitated to stand for what was right, and he carried himself with integrity, wisdom, and grace.

I, along with my family and the entire Toronto community, will miss him more than words can say. He leaves behind a legacy of excellence, unity, and purpose that will continue to live in our hearts.

Rest well, dear brother. Your light will never be forgotten.
I wish money or words can buy death, l would have saved you. Oh Mr Charles, our hearts bleeds with tears.

At the moment I am short of words. Totally broken 💔. Mwalufyanya ba Charles mwaya bwanga. Who will inspire us to build a better Africa? Who will lead the dream for a great Zambia 🇿🇲? You have gone before seeing the Zambia you wanted to see. It's time to burry ourselves into your books, and get renewed zeal. Heaven has gained. You shall forever be in our memories. We shall do what we can to carry on from where you have left. This death has hurt, it has hurt really hard. Rest in Peace My Mentor. Love you Deeply

Zambia's refined future President has cut short his journey to ascendency of the highest office in the land. I have no doubt, Charles planted himself in many of us who continue to live on. Man of many talents and different hats, you documented everything you lived for and now the onus is on us to imbibe the information we need to finish running the remaining part of the race you started. I salute you my General 🙏🏽

Charles my best friend, you taught me how to pray, to be closer to God. You pushed me to open my own company Lingraphics and you were my first customer. I will cherish the memories forever. Rest in Peace my friend.

All honor and praise; for a kindred spirit; and much love and respect to his family, friends & loved ones. He was the man, a professor, and a friend. May his soul RIP. And his spirit rise, where Angel and Archangel await his arrival in our heavenly kingdom. Amen.

Thank you Sir for the opportunity in marketing your book, Zambia, the struggles of my people and Western Contribution to corruption. That simple yet powerful act changed the entire course of my life. Your mentorship on those long phone conversation we had is something I will forever treasure. You had genuine love for young people and you wanted to bring out the best in us even when we did not believe it. I don't know why you had to go so soon but I will really miss your insights. Go well soldier of the most High!
