Passed peacefully at home from pneumonia on October 6, 2022 at the age of 85. She is predeceased by her loving husband Jim Conroy and her brothers Rae and Don Henry. Carol is survived by her daughter Debby Duford, step-daughters Jennifer Poisson (Neil), Joan Conroy and Julie Conroy. She is a proud grandma of Jeremy (Lara) and Jessica Poisson (Nick Klaiber), Cliff Tullis and Weston Conroy; and great-grandma of Isla and Wren Poisson, and January and Sophia Klaiber.
Carol worked many years at the Low Murchison law firm, followed by a property management position at the Ottawa-Carleton Regional Municipality. She left the regional government to provide administration and accounting support to her husband’s auto parts business. She loved entertaining and was a caring and generous friend who will be greatly missed.
The family thanks the staff at The Edinburgh Residence for their loving care and compassion.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on Monday, October 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa, ON. Interment will follow in the Botanical Cremation Gardens.

Decades of wonderful memories; many shared good times . Carol was a dear and loyal friend, kind and generous. A really good person. During a difficult time in Bill’s young life, he lived with Carol and Jim. He has never forgotten that. Carol loved us both and we loved her right back.
