It is with sadness that the family of Bu Gao Fang announces his peaceful passing at Saint-Vincent Hospital on Wednesday, August 20th, 2025, surrounded by his children and grandchildren, at the age of 84.

He was a strong fighter who faced his cancer battle with courage and resilience. We find comfort in knowing that he is now free from pain and no longer suffering.

He was most happy when surrounded by his family and friends and traveling to new and old places. He found joy in gardening, swimming and biking.

Bu Gao will be lovingly remembered by his children, Rui Yun (Jian Ci), Rui Ju (Bo Jie), Qi Jing (Kwok-On) and Ju De (Yin Ai) Fang. He will be forever missed by his grandchildren, Wei, Michelle (Scott), Jennifer, Kevin, Justin, Katie, Evan, Thomas and Chantel; and his great-grandchildren Bobby and Keira.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Chun Xian Zhou. They are now reunited and together in eternal peace.

Friends and guests will be received for visitation at Beechwood Funeral Home, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, on Sunday, August 24 from 4:00pm-8:00pm and Monday, August 25 at 9:00am, Funeral Service at 10:30am, and Burial at 11:30am at Beechwood Cemetery. Reception at 1:30pm to be held at Mandarin Restaurant (290 W Hunt Club Rd, Nepean, ON K2E 0B7)
