It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Brian Bell on January 12 2022, in the comfort of his own home, at the age of 69.

Brian is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Janet Bell. Loved brother of Mark (Gail) and Wayne. Cherished by Heather, nephews Austin and Justin (Allanah) and niece Ramanda.

Brian will be dearly missed by his close friends and colleagues from the Ottawa Police Services. Special thank you to Donna Lea Andrews for all the love and support she showed Brian on the journey we call life. Anyone who knew Brian knew his love for cars and sports, especially the Dolphins.

A thank you to all of "Brian's Girls" Carolyn, Khaty, Stephanie, Judith, Delephine, Queen and Bryana.

A special thank you to his first call of the day or good morning to the last call of the night, Krista who patiently stood with him through the tough times.

Donations in Brian's memory can be made to the Heart Institute

Dear Brian,
On the various occasions that you welcomed me into your home, your arms were always wide open. Last time I visited, you showed me your sports collection with pride. We talked, we laughed, and I was in awe of the empire that you built around yourself. You taught me that life is priceless. It doesn’t matter what background you come from or where you live, life can be enjoyed in the simplest of ways, no matter what condition one may be in. Whether it’s a chocolate milkshake, a football game, or a simple drive the car. Rest easy Brian. You deserve peace and happiness, in the same way you made others feel. Welcomed and loved. We will miss you forever.

I'm so sadden to learn about Brian sudden passing away, we were partners with the ODTF,, joined Red & Blue barn drug squad. Those years were amongst my best one of my law enforcement career. We worked sleepless nights back in those days and it was great. My most sincere condolences to Donna Lea and families in these difficult times. Brian was both a great person and Police officer. Rest in peace my friend.

I was saddened to learn about the death of Brian.
Brian was one of the most determined, strong willed, thoughtful and loyal guys I had ever worked with. Through our times on “Old B” Platoon, Drugs and Major Crime whenever I needed help with an investigation/situation, I knew I could always count on Brian. When warranted he would go out of his way to help others.
I will cherish the memories I have of Brian, Donna Lea I wish you peace and comfort during this time.
