It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of William “Bill” Brown at Perley Health on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the age of 88. Beloved spouse of Ginette Brown. Loving father of Heather Schoemaker (Robert), Lindsay Brown, Mary Brown (Don), and Jennifer Weir (Michael). Proud grandfather of Stephanie Brown and Cailean Weir, and great-grandfather to Noah Barker. Survived by his sisters Dorothy Gosselin, Linda Thody, Ellen Scott, Lanie Elliott, and Wilma Smith.
Predeceased by his Parents William Brown and Mary (Carr) Brown and stepfather Eugene (Chubb) Clowater) of New Brunswick, his sibling, Pat Brown and brothers-in-law Gary Thody and George Gosselin. Bill will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A real renaissance man, Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. Following an early career in the RCAF (WO retired) Bill had a lifelong sense of duty to his country. With two tours in Germany, he also developed a love of travel with many wonderful adventures with family and friends over the years. Following his time in the military, Bill returned to his love of education, graduating from Loyalist College and starting a career with the federal government. A huge fan of baseball, hockey and golf, he also had a love of music and was a consumate storyteller regalling you with horrible dad jokes, crazy, random toasts about anything and everything and games that only he seemed to know how to play. With his unforgettable laugh and joy for life, he will be forever in our hearts. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends
