With great sadness, we announce that Beverly Anne Harding passed peacefully

on June 13, 2025, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, surrounded by her loving family:

husband Bob and daughters Alexa and Robyn Derksen.

Born in Ottawa, Beverly was a proud graduate of Brookfield High School and

Carleton University, where she played for the Carleton Ravens (formerly the

Robins) women's basketball team and formed lifelong friendships. She later

earned her Physiotherapy degree (Mohawk College of Applied Arts &

Technology) and went on to open her own clinic at the RA Centre, where she

cared for patients from 1991 to 2022. Diagnosed with glioblastoma in March

2024, Beverly faced her illness with strength and resilience, undergoing multiple

surgeries and endless rounds of chemotherapy, and radiation. An avid athlete

and lover of the outdoors, Beverly enjoyed playing tennis, skiing, hiking and

cycling in Gatineau park. When her vision became limited, she embraced

walking, often seen out along the Rideau Canal enjoying fresh air and friendly

chats. Beverly will be deeply missed by her husband Bob, daughters Alexa and

Robyn, and siblings Christine, Ian, Peter, and Stewart, along with their partners

and her many dear friends. Her courage, determination, and unwavering spirit

will remain an inspiration to all who knew her.

The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at the

Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre and Ottawa Civic Hospital for their care and

support. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to

either Brain Cancer Canada or Brain Cancer Foundation of Canada in Beverly's

name.

A Celebration of Beverly's life will take place on Saturday August 16, 2025

at 10a.m. in the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre,

280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa Ont. Reception to follow from 11;00-1;00pm.

Bev lead a very thoughtful, generous and fulfilling life. Her determination in fighting cancer was admirable, very much the Bev we knew. Our condolences to all the family, especially Bob, Alexa and Robyn. Bev will be missed.
In sympathy, Frances and Keith ❤️‍🩹

A donation has been made to Brain Cancer Canada in her name.
