Beverley Ann Wade passed peacefully in her sleep on February 28, 2023 at the Revera Barrhaven Manor. Beverley was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur C. (Art) Wade (d.2012). Bev is survived by her devoted children Meg Seal (Glenn d.2018), Casey Wade (Alexandra), Allison Johns (Peter d.2016), her dear grandchildren who called her Bebbie, Kaiti Yogasingam (Nish), Tori Holm (Erik), A.J. Seal (Hayley), Courtney Wade-van Wezel (Josh), Remy and Jac Wade, Adam, Kelly and Steven Johns, great grandchildren Maisie and Ellia Holm, Hendrix Yogasingam, Jacob van Wezel, siblings Sue Martin (Harry), Tim Walsh (Brenda) and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Marjorie and George Walsh, brother Bob Walsh, in-laws Rick Martin and Marilyn Walsh. Bev was born in Brockville, Ontario and attended Kingston General Hospital’s (KGH’s) School of Nursing. She obtained her Registered Nurse’s certificate in 1956. Bev worked at KGH, Toronto Sick Kids, doctor’s offices in Ottawa and for the Red Cross in Bermuda. She married Art Wade in 1957, had a fierce love of politics, a sharp wit, was an avid sports fan and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed the military life and had many interests, including being with family and friends, doting on her grandchildren, hosting dinner parties, travel, bridge, going to the beach and shopping. Bev will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Heartfelt thanks go to the Division of Vascular Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH), TOH staff, family doctors, staff at the Revera Barrhaven Manor, Carefor and Home & Community Care Services Champlain.

A visitation will be held at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11am.  The memorial service will take place at 1pm followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Division of Vascular Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH).

Our sincere condolences go out to all the Wades for the loss of dear Beverly (as mom would refer to her). It is hard losing your Mom and all the Youngsons wish you the best at this difficult time. We have wonderful memories of times shared with the Wades. Trust these memories will keep her with you always and give us all a smile. I am sorry we cannot be there (as we are out of the country) with you but you are in our thoughts.

To the Wade and Welsh Families
I am sending my sincere condolences and I am deeply sorry for the passing of Bev. Growing up as cousins and as a result of Bev and Wades commitment to Military service, we were limited to quality cousins and family gatherings. But be re-assured that Aunt Marge in the early years always kept us informed of their service and growing family. The family that made her a Mother, Grandmother and Great GMA.
Sincerely
Linda Hogan-Nuttall
