Adele Susan Moore (née Mathieu) 

Surrounded in love, Adele Susan Moore (nee Mathieu) passed away on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025, in her 63rd year. Cherished and beloved wife of Shawn Moore for 41 years, loving mother of Jennifer Moore and son-in-law Devin Lacey, and grandchildren Skylar, Brianna, and Logan Moore. Much loved daughter-in-law of the late Dorothy and the late Graham Moore, and sister-in-law Kristine (Ted) Roberts and family. 

Born in North Bay to the late Reina and Albert Mathieu, Adele was the youngest of 8 children. She is survived by brothers Orvald (Elaine), Victor (Gill), and Michael (Patty) Mathieu, sister Theresa (Roly) Bertrand, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Ron (Joyce), and Norman (Emma) Mathieu, and Paulette (Ron) Taylor. 

Adele bravely struggled with health issues over the past few years and is now at peace, released from all her sufferings. She will remain forever in her family and friend’s hearts, and she will be greatly missed. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, sense of humour, joyful laugh and beautiful smile will be deeply treasured always. 

Adele’s family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff of the ICU and Emergency at Queensway Carlton Hospital, the skilled first responders, Chaplain, Father Jonathan Kelly for the comfort and peace he brought to us during this difficult time, our Annunciation of the Lord Parish Priests and faith community, and Beechwood Funeral Services for their support and professional services. 

A Visitation will be held at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church (2414 Ogilvie Road, Gloucester) on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. Private Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a Mass offering for Adele and the Moore family, which may be arranged through Annunciation of the Lord Parish office (613-745-7774), or a donation to the Canadian Lung Association.
