The Ottawa Division of the RCMP Veterans’ Association along with the Beechwood Cemetery Foundation will on Sunday September 26th host a small ceremony at the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery at Beechwood to honour those Police and Peace Officers who have lost their lives in service to our communities.
This year the names of Constable Allan Douglas Poapst and Constable Heidi Jill Stevenson will be added to the RCMP Honour Roll on our Fallen Member Cenotaph. The families of those of whom we have lost while serving will once again be at the forefront of our thoughts this year.
The memorial service with the laying of wreaths will commence at 13:30 hrs (1:30 pm) and should be about 30 minutes in duration. Beechwood will be livestreaming this event.
