Help Cleanup the Macoun Marsh!
Macoun Marsh is a unique urban wetland found within the southeast corner of the Beechwood Cemetery. It is home to over 1500 different types of wildlife. In order to conserve this hidden gem for generations to come, a cleanup project is being organized for May 24 between 1-3pm.
Anyone who is interested in helping remove unwanted garbage from the Macoun Marsh is invited to join. Meet at the Outdoor Classroom found along the trail leading to the Marsh to check in as a volunteer.
Please dress appropriately to walk between plants and off the path. Bringing gloves is highly recommended as well as water bottles, sunscreen and bug spray.
Trash bags will be provided.
Please note this event will be cancelled if it is raining and rescheduled for another date.
