Join us for a historic and solemn ceremony as we raise the Canadian Flag and the Ottawa Police Service Flag for the first time at the Ottawa Police Service Memorial Cemetery at Beechwood. This event will honour the legacy, service, and sacrifice of Ottawa Police members past and present.
For over 150 years, the Ottawa Police Service has stood as a pillar of safety, leadership, and community service in the nation’s capital. From its early days as the Bytown Police to its evolution into a modern force, its members have upheld a tradition of dedication and professionalism. This flag-raising marks a new tradition, ensuring that the commitment and sacrifices of Ottawa Police officers are recognized and remembered for generations to come.
