Come and lend a hand! Beechwood Cemetery Foundation is looking for help from the community!
We have all been dealing with the LDD Moth problem in the trees in our community. Beechwood has been looking into different solutions and have been removing as many LDD Moth Eggs as possible.
However, we can’t do it alone! With over 6000 trees, Beechwood needs your help.
Please join us on:
- Sunday, October 3, 2021, between 9 AM and 4 PM
Starting in the National Military Cemetery and working our way out, Beechwood and community volunteers will help remove the LDD Moth Egg Sacks.
This will help reduce the number of moths next year. Beechwood will be providing each participant with a scrub brush on a pole and gloves. We ask that you bring safety googles as we will only have a limited number.
We will also have refreshments and light snacks available for our volunteers. Beechwood Cemetery Foundation is a not-for-profit charity and can provide volunteer hours for those who need it. Due to covid-19 restrictions, please register if you would like to volunteer.
