Died peacefully on April 16, 2026, in Ottawa surrounded by family after a courageous fight with cancer. Adored spouse to Michelle, devoted father to Nicholas, Christopher (Sofia) and Maximiliano and loving grandfather to Calian. Beloved brother to Teresita (Eddy) and Juan Martin (Margarita); brother-in-law to Stacy (Nigel); and son-in-law to Lorne and Brenda. And adoring uncle to Teresita, Ximena, Tomas, Josefina, Martina, Augustin and Hannah. Guillermo was predeceased by his loving parents Guillermo Ceppi Perdriel and Teresita Muinos Ceppi of Adrogué, Argentina.
Guillermo was the Chief Architect at Global Affairs Canada for almost two decades and an expert in diplomatic facility design. In this work he amalgamated his passion for the built environment with his love of travel and culture. Guillermo graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a Master of Architecture degree and license and practiced architecture in Argentina before relocating to Canada for post graduate studies in architecture at McGill. Licensed in Ontario and Quebec (retired) and a fellow in the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, he left his mark in private practice and public service. Guillermo’s early education was at St. Michael’s College in Adrogué, Argentina and he maintained many cherished lifelong friendships with “the Greens”!
Always generous with a smile and his time, he will be remembered for his wit, humour and zest for living. He lived a full life, loved and was well loved by his family and many cherished friends including Solange (Oscar) and Dario.
The family thanks Dr Derek Jonkers, Dr Charlene Habibi and Kas for their dedicated care, kindness and support during his cancer journey. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are welcome.
A private funeral service has been held at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services.

My condolences to Michelle and to the entire family. A kind, free-spirited, and talented friend and colleague. Guillermo will be missed, but the stories, when we travelled the world, will be told forever. RIP my friend.

Michelle and boys, so sorry to learn of Guillermo’s passing. Have known Guillermo over the last 30 years and really enjoyed working with him, a very special guy. I will cherish the house he designed for us here in Chaffeys Lock. A talented gentleman that is very much missed.
The family holidays will be in my heart.
