It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Matthew Bonneville. A devoted husband, father, son and friend.

Matthew was the loving husband of Eve Desaulniers and proud father to his two boys, Liam and Lucas, who were the centre of his world. He will be forever remembered for his deep commitment to his family and his steady guidance.

He was the beloved son of Patrick and Catherine Bonneville and cherished brother to Joel Bonneville, as well as a treasured member of his extended family.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.

Family and friends are invited to Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, ON), on Saturday, May 30th, 2026, for a Visitation from 12 noon until the time of the Memorial Service in Beechwood’s Sacred Space at 1:00 p.m. with a Reception to follow.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Matthew, please consider contributing towards Support Our Troops

Though his time with us was far too short, Matthew’s legacy of love, service and devotion will never be forgotten.

Dear Pat and Catherine,

There are no words for a loss this profound. Mathew was a credit to you both—a man of such character, honor, and heart.

May you find some comfort in knowing how deeply he was respected and how much he was loved. Holding you both close in thought during these incredibly difficult days.

With deepest sympathy,

Brian and Dawn
