Fouad Mikhail Nasrallah passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the Perley Health Centre in Ottawa, at the age of 86.

Beloved husband of Maria Guadalupe “Lupita” Nasrallah. Fouad was a devoted and loving father to Danielle, Michel (Carin), and Nicholas. He was a cherished grandfather to Dasha, J.J., Micah, and Kairos, who brought him immense pride and joy.

Fouad was the son of the late Mikhail Nasrallah and late Julie Nasrallah (Salhany). He was a dear brother to Riad (late Maguy) and Nazmi (Nicole). He will also be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family in Canada, Lebanon, Mexico, and Brazil.

Fouad moved from Lebanon to Canada in the 1970s and opened the first sub restaurant in Ottawa, the Hockey Submarine, with his brother Nazmi. It later served some of the best shawarmas in the 90s. He was known for his warm smile, quick wit and sharp sense of humour, which his children inherited. Fouad had a zest for life and loved traveling, good food (especially desserts), playing ‘tawle’ (Lebanese backgammon) and listening to his favorite artist, Fairuz.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral (750 Ridgewood Ave, Ottawa) on Monday, February 9, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in Fouad’s memory are invited to consider Perley Health or St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Perley Health, Ottawa 2 West, for their compassionate care and support.

Messages of condolence may be left at www.beechwoodottawa.ca.
