Beverly Denaise Brown passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, warmth, and quiet grace. Beverly was the kind of woman who made people feel welcome the moment they stepped into her presence. She led with kindness, spoke from the heart, and carried her family through many of life's storms with steady hands and a spirit that never wavered.
Beverly was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt who all carry a piece of her in the stories they tell, the values she shared, and the love she poured into every relationship. Family meant everything to her. She showed up for birthdays, holidays, quick phone calls, and long conversations that stretched late into the night. She gave without expecting anything in return, and people naturally gravitated toward her steady presence.
Beverly will also be deeply missed by her coworkers and union members, who knew her as a dependable voice of support and a calm problem solver. She took pride in being there for others, whether it was helping a colleague or stepping up when her community needed her. Beyond her work, Beverly loved to volunteer. She gave her time freely, always looking for ways to lift others up and make a positive impact.
She had a soft laugh that made people smile and a straight-talking honesty that kept everyone grounded. She appreciated simple moments, celebrated the small wins, and reminded others to slow down and breathe. Her wisdom was lived, not performed, and those around her felt it.
The visitation will take place at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, located at 280 Beechwood Avenue in Ottawa, on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will follow in Beechwood’s Sacred Space from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. A Reception will be held afterward from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Friends, loved ones, colleagues, and community members are invited to come together to honor Beverly and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.

Bev I didn't know you all that well, just around the same Carleton circle, but I felt your warmth and I’m sorry for the loss of those that knew you well enough to be so privileged and blessed.

Still not registering that you are gone 😪.
No gatherings will ever be the same without you. Who's going to organize us at Vincy Picnic? Who's going to call me 'my peeps'? 😪
It's hard to find the words - all I can come up with is 'I love you and I will miss you llke nobody's business' 💔
My heartfelt condolences to all your family and loved ones.
Rest peacefully, B. 🙏🏾
my condolences to Bev's family and friends. She was a great person always putting others first.
Her words of wisdom and knowledge and humor will be missed by her union family. I know she would want us to celebrate her life by reflecting on all the good times together and to continue her commitment to help others. R.I.P sister your legacy will carry on through us all who knew you.
