Our dear Mom, Shirley passed away peacefully after a long struggle with vascular dementia in her 104th year. She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Elaine Jakes, her loving husband Jim in 2010, and her Brother Lennox, sisters Jessie, Veneta and Linda.
Mom leaves behind her Children, Randy( Joan ), Ann ( Frank ), and Hal ,( Janet). She was the proud grandmother to 7 Grandchildren Sean, Jason, Christina , Elizabeth, Jeff, Greg and Sarah. Also a great grandmother to many and more recently a great great Grandmother. Mom also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held at Beechwood Cemetery on December 6 at 1:00 p.m. Guests are asked to gather at 12:30 p.m. in front of the main building. Arrangements have been entrusted to Beechwood Cemetery.
