It’s with great sadness that we announce that Frances Cordukes, our beloved mother, friend, and mentor passed away on October 22, 2025. She passed away peacefully at Bruyère Health's Saint-Vincent Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer.
Frances was a dedicated and passionate nurse, graduating from the Toronto General Hospital in 1961, and then again from Ottawa University in 1984 with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.
She was committed to her faith, a founding member of her Church, a life long bridge player, and an extremely proud mother and grandmother.
Frances was preceded by her mother and father Viola and Frank Harrison, her brother Thomas, and her husbands, Duncan Clark, Weldon Johnston, and Charles (Ed) Cordukes.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Jeffery (Sandra), Heather (Jim), and Andrea (Tunc) and by her grandchildren Matthew (Laura-Lynn), Kevin, Laura (Iain), Andrew (Corri), and Brooke.
A celebration of life will be held on October 31st, at Trinity Presbyterian Church 1817 Richardson side Road, Carp at 1pm.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.

I had lots of fun playing bridge with Fran.
I know Fran had great faith. I hope she will have lots of bridge games in heaven.
Fran will be remembered as the one who inspired people to do pastoral care and the one whose questions made us think. We will miss her at Trinity!
