It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine Mary Théorêt, who died peacefully on August 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She will be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing such a kind, caring and thoughtful person. Her cooking made every holiday a memorable occasion. Her kindness and sincere laughter as well as her gentleness and calmness will be part of everyone’s memory of Lorraine.
She is survived by her beloved husband Jacques Théorêt, her treasured children André (Anathea) and Marie-Claire (Kevin), and her cherished grandchildren Cléante and Lacoste. She is also survived by her twin sister Lynda (Ken) and by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A funeral service to celebrate Lorraine's life and legacy will be held at Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Saturday, September 27, at 10 a.m. The family will receive relatives and friends beginning at 9 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to donate to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation (Cancer Research) in recognition of the care and dedication of the staff in her memory. Research to Improve Patient Care - The Ottawa Hospital Foundation

Cher Jacques, André et Marie-Claire, Je tiens à vous souhaiter mes plus sincères condoléances. J'espère que les bons souvenirs vous aideront à passer au travers de ces moments difficiles.
I am sending my deepest sympathies to my Oncle Jacques, Andre, Thea, Cleante, Lacoste, Marie-Claire and Kevin. My Auntie Rain ( as I called her) was a very important part of my life. She could fill up a room with her vibrant personality, and her beautiful smile. I was blessed to be able to spend time with her. I will miss you Auntie Rain, thank you for sharing you with me.
I will hold onto the memories that we made. Until we meet again.
