It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alison Ann Currie, who passed away peacefully in Ottawa, Ontario, on September 5, 2025, at the age of 91. She will be fondly remembered as Ann, without an e.
Ann was a devoted and loving mother to Sharon (Mike Phillips), Donna (Marcel Neron), and Bruce (Leslie St. Jean). She was pre-deceased by her loving parents Betty and David Bonner, and her beloved grandson Alex Neron, who affectionately called her “Granny Annie”. Also left to mourn is her loved grandson Yves Neron.
Ann will be fondly remembered as the cherished best friend of Dianne Saulnier and a dear friend to Mary Lou Davis.
Ann lived a rich and wonderful life, full of love, laughter, family, and friendships that meant the world to her.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at St. Vincent's and Bruyère Palliative Care Unit, as well as the staff at Ogilvie Villa Residence, for their exceptional care and compassion.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa). A private Graveside Service will be held.
In memory of Ann, those who wish may consider making a donation to the Ottawa Humane Society, a cause close to her heart.
Forever loved, always remembered.
