It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Paul (Slim) Sirois on July 14, 2025 at the age of 93.
Paul was a gentleman, a kind soul and unique in so many wonderful ways. He worked in various positions within the federal government, he was an avid reader and his devotion was for his family (and pets).
He is predeceased by his father Joseph Sirois, mother Marie-Anne Banville, brother Jean-Charles Sirois, sister Denise Sirois (Trottier), his dear daughter Marie Sirois, first wife, Françoise Sirois (Pelletier), and second wife, Jean Lawson. He will be missed and fondly remembered by his beloved partner, Jacqueline Forest, sons Michel, Pierre (Janet), André (Thérèse), Jacques (Cynthia) and daughter Chantal (André); his sister-in-law Françoise Sirois (Gariépy); his grandchildren Nicolas, Alexandre, Mattieu, France, Charles, Dominik, Alex-Anne, Joliane and Liam; nieces, nephews, great-grandsons Onyx and Lionel, as well as friends and family.
We wish to thank the staff at the Besserer Place Senior Living, night nurses and doctors, as well as friends that were very supportive.
Friends are invited to gather in celebration of Paul's life on Monday August 11, 2025 at The Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave. in Ottawa. from 11:00 a.m. until internment at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
