It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Mélanie Delorme (née Prud’homme) announces her sudden passing on June 30, 2025, at the age of 31.

Born on June 25th, 1994 in Ottawa, Melanie exuded joy, beauty and strength and shared her love of life with all those around her. She was the beloved wife of Maxime and the devoted, proud mother of Élodie and Nathan.

Mélanie was happiest at home with her children—whether laughing over a game of cards or expressing her creativity through arts and crafts. Her family, and especially her children, were her reason for living. Music filled her heart, and her kindness lit up every room she entered.

She will be lovingly missed by her husband Maxime, her children Élodie and Nathan, her mother Diane, her brother Mathieu (April), her sister Karine (Éric), her brother-in-law Frédérick (Marie-France), and her nieces and nephews Olivier, Emmanuel, William, Naomie, and Emma. She is reunited in peace with her dearly loved father, Patrice.

We shall never forget her immense heart, her gentleness, and her unshakeable strength of character. Mélanie was always the first to offer help, and the last to ask for it. She lived with compassion, generosity, and a profound love for those around her.

Gone far too soon, Mélanie will live on forever in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, always loved and never forgotten.

Visitations will be held at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and on Saturday, July 19, starting at 9:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow in the Sacred Space of Beechwood at 10:00 a.m.

Messages of sympathy may be expressed through the sending of flowers

My deepest condolences to her family. I did not know her well but what I remember most was her smile; beautiful enough to light up a room. Her life cut way too short, gone way too soon. My heart goes out to all those who knew her, especially her family. ❤️

So very sad. Melanie will live on in the many memories of her family and friends. Diane, Max, Elodie, Nathan, Karine and Mathieu (and their families), you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I’m thinking of Madame et Monsieur Lemieux as well during this time. To lose a grandchild is to lose a piece of your heart. ♥️

Tout ce qui est écrit dans la nécrologie est tellement vrai et authentique. Je me souviens des visites de Mélanie au chalet où sa joie de vivre semait le bonheur et la gaieté. Repose en paix. Sincères condoléances à toute la famille.

Dearest Melanie

It is with a heavenly heavy heart that I say goodbye to you. We became friends through Miss T and you left a forever happiness in my heart by just knowing you briefly on the live shows. You will be immensely missed by all of us at the Miss T tribe. But you will never be forgotten. May God bless you in heaven and keep you close. My deepest condolences to all the family. With love and compassion. Francesca.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I am still in shock as I'm sure you are too. Melanie was the sweetest, kindest person I knew. Living next door was so fun as she always greeted you with a smile. She was the perfect wife and mother and I always teased her to have more babies because she produced angels and her children were so darn cute. I hope her memory lives on forever. I know how close she was to her dad and now she is with him. She is safe but oh how we will miss her. Rest in peace Mel.... you were one of a kind.
