It is with great sadness that the family of Jeffrey Orange announce his sudden passing at home on October 3, 2024, at the age of 53. Jeff will be lovingly remembered by his wife Andrea Allevato, his father Winston (Lucille Parizeau), and his sisters, Kelly (Guy Lacasse) and Tracy. He was predeceased by his mother, Sandra Platt. Jeff will be greatly missed by his numerous other family members and friends.

Jeff was a big man with a big heart, and an even larger-than-life personality. While he faced struggles in early adulthood, he overcame them with strength and determination. He always held the memory of his beloved mother, Sandra close to his heart. He valued his marriage and family above all else. His family, friends and colleagues will miss his sense of humour, his generosity and the way he could talk to anyone about anything, especially movies or music.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), on Thursday, October 17th from 6 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church, 2345 Alta Vista Drive, on Friday, October 18th at 11am. Reception to follow in the church hall.  Memorial donations may be made in Jeff’s name to the Ottawa Food Bank.

My uncle Jeff will always be the coolest uncle ever! Words can't express how much I love him and will miss him. His rocker attitude made a huge impact in my life. Knowing I had a place in his heart makes me smile. I'll always be his PICKLE. He made me feel like it was ok to be a comic reading, superhero loving, rock and roll listening nerd but he reminded me that life was worth living and to smarten up when I needed it the most. Just to see him smile and feel his hug was everything, just as it always was when I got them from my uncle. It's going to take a long time to process that he's gone but now he can finally be with Nannie <3 Rip Uncle Jeff. I'll try to find another snare drum to get back into drumming in memory of you! Love you :(

My deepest condolences to Andrea and all of Jeff’s family. I worked with Jeff the last few years and thought very highly of him. He was always a lot of laughs and was a trivia king. The world is a less special place without him in it. May he rest in peace.

I’m so heartbroken for the loss of Jeff. Even after years of not visiting, he made me feel like no time had passed at all and made me feel so happily welcomed. I will always remember his laugh and larger than life personality. My whole heart is with you, Andrea.

Jeff was the best uncle anyone could ask for. I’ll always cherish the time he took me to see a wrestling show as a kid, one of my favorite memories. He was kind, full of life, and will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Uncle Jeff. Your love and laughter will always be with us.

Jeff what can I say, he was one of my best friends from my teens to my 20s even after we both left school. I will always cherish our memories together and the time I met him at Bell still brings a smile. My deepest condolences to his family.
