It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sgt (ret’d) Chalid Brockelbank at Perley Health in Ottawa, on Thursday, June 27th, 2024; at the age of 85. Loving husband of 60 years to Joan Brockelbank (née Tupper). Loving father of Rob and the late Shelley. Cherished grandfather of Ashley (Elie Kuzelian). Brother of Lawrence (Jean) and Linda (Bob).
Chalid served 35 years in the Royal Canadian Airforce. Outside of his career he enjoyed hunting, travelling and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at Orléans United Church (1111 Orléans Blvd, Orléans) on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the National Military Cemetery located at Beechwood Cemetery (280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa).
