Lloyd Edward Smith, beloved husband of Carol (nee Mulligan), devoted father of Blake and dear father-in-law of Nadia Martineau, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 31, 2024, at the age of 73 in Orleans, Ontario.

He was born November 29, 1950, in Ottawa, Ontario, to his loving mother Lillian Harrison (nee Denison).

Lloyd was also a proud grandfather to Liam and had many aunts, uncles and cousins who cherished him.

In his leisure time, Lloyd was an avid golfer, a passionate hockey fan and player, and thoroughly enjoyed his trips and friends in Florida.  His enthusiasm for sports and travel brought joy to those around him.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lloyd’s memory can be made to Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Lloyd Edward Smith « Smitty » will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Lloyd was such a joy to have as a dear friend. My late husband and I loved it when he would stop by our home after golf. He was so charismatic and funny but he was also a very caring person. We loved every minute of our time spent with Lloyd and Carol. I am going to miss him and his antics and my heart aches for Carol,Blake and the rest of his family. Rest in peace my dear friend. ❤️❤️😢
