It is with great sadness that we announced the passing of Valérie Larouche on April 22, 2024, at the age of 33, in the serenity of her home in Ottawa. She was the beloved daughter of Martine Thibault and Jean Larouche.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. The family will be receiving condolences from 10 a.m. at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre.

With respect to Valérie’s last wishes, being an adventurer and nature lover, her ashes will be dispersed with love and dignity on the top of a mountain during an intimate family ceremony.

She was the triplet sister of Geneviève Larouche and Maxime Larouche, sister-in-law of James McGoff, godmother of Violet McGoff, and loving aunt of Léo McGoff.

She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

We ask that any donations be made out to the Anorexia Foundation of Quebec.

It was a pleasure working with Val, I will always remember her with her big smile that instantly made me smile. I know she touched the lives of so many with her compassion also.
May your cherished memories bring you comfort during this difficult time and give you the strength needed.

My thoughts are with your family at this time. Val was a kind, curious, intelligent, vibrant person with a desire to learn. She had the biggest smile and laugh. You will be missed Val.
