Passed away surrounded by his family on March 18, 2024 at the age of 60. He was the son of the late Henri Bercier and the late Lucille Clement. He is survived by his beloved wife Lise Chénier Bercier and his three cherished children Sébastien, Christian and Cassandra Bercier. He also leaves to mourn his brother Pierre Bercier (Carol Bercier) and three sisters Francine Blanchard (Marcel Blanchard), Gaetanne Desnoyers (Jean-Luc Desnoyers) and Joanne Bercier (Bruce Hall). He will also be greatly missed by his father-in-law Marcel Chénier, his mother-in-law Juliette Chénier (née Parenteau), his brother-in-law Marc Chénier (Ernesto Hernandez-Salazar), his sisters-in- law Louise Chénier and Julie Di Lalla (Bruno Di Lalla) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Ottawa General Hospital ICU, the Cancer Clinic, the Spinal Cord Team at the Rehabilitation Centre and all his Home Care Nurses.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Saturday, April 6 from 11 a.m. A Celebration of Paul’s Life will follow at 1 p.m. In Paul’s memory, donations to the Ottawa Food Bank would be appreciated.

We will forever remember Paul's Courage and Perseverance and the way he , Lise and their children supported each other through so much adversity . Paul fut un modèle par excellence d'un homme des plus courageux que j'ai connu . Malgré so handicap , ses problèmes de santé , il n'as jamais bronché de persister et de croire en des jours meilleurs . Il fut entouré d'amour et de support par sa famille Bercier . Ensuite Lise et sa famille ont réussi un tour de force incroyable grâce à l'amour. Il fut un papa tellement fier de ses enfants . Pour résumer ,Paul fut une âme de bonté , de résilience et d'amour .
