Cherished wife of Carlo, loving mother of Tanner and Danielle (Ryan), and proud grandmother to Rae. She is also survived by her extended family and many close friends. Dana passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023 comforted by the presence of her loved ones.
Known for her kindness, lighthearted spirit, and strength, Dana was the cornerstone of her family. She loved time spent exploring the outdoors with Carlo, at the beach with their kayaks, dancing at live shows, and walking together along the canal. Dana was a loving, compassionate, and proud parent, and raising her children was her true joy and happiness. There are no words to express how greatly she will be missed.
During her illness, Dana showed inspirational courage and resilience, fighting to spend more time with her loved ones. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of The Ottawa Hospital and Saint-Vincent Hospital for their compassionate care.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask those who are able to please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society in Dana’s honour.

Carlo, Danielle and Tanner, I am so sorry for your loss. Dana was such a beautiful person, inside and out. I knew her from the time I was 3 and she was 2. We grew up together, had children around the same time, and kept in touch throughout all of the years. We will all miss her so much ...

Carlo, Danielle & Tanner~ we are sending our deepest condolences to you all.
Our Beloved Dana was Family to us. We have all been friends since the young age of 3 to 4 and that friendship has blossomed & continued to grow for well over 50 years.
Dana absolutely cherished her two children~ proudly filling us in on all their adventures & achievements over the years. She was absolutely elated to have married her soulmate Carlo & it was an honour to all be witnesses at their beautiful wedding ceremony in 2019.
