Peacefully, Sunday May 14, 2023, in his 95th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Barbara Ellen (Parmelee). Much loved dad of Craig (Terri), Scott (Karen) and Janet (Frank Pantalone). Grandpa Bob to Curtis (Sheena), Trevor, Ryan, Amanda (Travis), Brittany and Christopher. GG Bob to Isabelle, Levi and Claire.

Bob was born in Peterborough, Ontario but called Ottawa home for most of his life. He was a well-known insurance broker (Riley, Morrison & Perley), a City of Ottawa Councillor and played lots of golf at Cedarhill Golf and Country Club. In retirement, he enjoyed many winters at Maple Leaf Estates in Port Charlotte, Florida, golf and time spent with family and friends. He was always game for happy hours, parties and eating out. He had a full and happy life. Stirling Park Retirement Community was home to Bob for the past 5 years. He enjoyed all the activities and entertainment Nissa organized! The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude and thanks to the wonderful third floor staff at Stirling Park for their loving care and attention and for keeping Bob comfortable in his final days.

Family and friends are invited to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) for a visitation on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, with interment to follow.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, or a charity of your choice.

Our dear friend Bob has gone to join his golfing partner, Naz, my beloved husband. We spent so many wonderful hours together at our home. I send deepest condolences to his loving family and wish that he rests in peace. I will always hold his memory in my heart.
Fondly and with love,
Bea

I remember Uncle Bob as a kind gentleman, who seemed to always have a smile on his face whenever I saw him. Living just around the block, I recall visiting him, and Aunt Barbara, at their home when my sister, brothers and I were youngsters, and they were always very welcoming and generous hosts.

Regardless of how long we have our parents with us, it does not diminish the loss when we lose them. David and I send you all our deepest sympathies and will hold you in our thoughts and prayers.

May your memories bring you comfort at this time.

Sincerely,
Susan and David
